Live in a condo? When you book, tell us about any elevator booking, loading dock or concierge rules, and we’ll plan the pickup to suit your building. At pickup, our crew moves the furniture off the rug for you. If you won’t be home, you can leave the rug out for us. Leaving it with the concierge depends on your building: most don’t allow it, so check with yours first. Just keep in mind that we’re not responsible for it until we’ve picked it up.

Every rug is inspected before any work starts.
Once your rug reaches our facility, we unroll it and go over it carefully. If we spot something nobody knew about at pickup, we call you before doing anything. If you’d still like a regular wash, its price stays the same.
Then the rug is washed and dried fully, indoors and without high heat. Once it’s dry, we give the fringes an extra treatment. Most rugs need a wash like this about once a year.

Beyond a regular wash
Stains, smells, moths and wear.
We start with a regular wash. If a stain is still there afterwards, stain treatment comes next. Silk and viscose are different: their stains almost always need stain treatment. We only recommend what your rug really needs, and nothing extra is done without your OK.

Most of our work is area rugs. Wall-to-wall carpet cleaning has very limited availability, so priority goes to repeat customers. If a spot opens up, for example after a cancellation, we can take new clients. Call (416) 939-7571 and ask about your carpet.
We check the fabric, pre-treat the carpet, clean it with hot-water extraction, and leave it to dry. For a condo, we use a portable machine. For a house, we use our truck-mounted one.

Is pickup free in North York?
Yes, both ways, for condos and houses alike. The cleaning itself is priced by your rug’s size. If you’d rather not go ahead once we’ve inspected the rug, we bring it back free.
Will my rug’s colours run?
We look out for it. At our facility, each rug is inspected to judge whether its colours might run, and if that looks possible, we tell you before going ahead. It isn’t always possible to tell, for example on a damaged or defective rug, so if you’re worried, please mention it at pickup.
Can you clean an antique rug?
Yes, we clean antique rugs, fragile ones too. With a fragile rug, we check it over and tell you the risks of washing it, then you decide. Restoration is specialist work, usually worth it for a valuable, antique or art rug. About antique rugs

How long will my rug be away?
It depends on your rug and what it needs. Regular cleaning usually takes about a week. Enzyme odour treatment can add another week, and stain treatment adds 1 to 3 weeks on average, sometimes more for stubborn stains. For a repair, ask us when you book and we’ll give you an idea.
