These need to be washed every six months. Dust, dirt, and body dander accumulate here slowly over time, so they only need to be cleaned periodically. Most can be washed in a regular washing machine. Some are larger and need an oversize machine available at the laundromat. Others may require dry cleaning if the material is delicate.
Bathroom floor mat
Floor mats need to be cleaned about once a month. If they are made from regular synthetic material with a soft backing, they can be washed in the washing machine. For larger mats with a hard rubber backing, they need to be washed at a rug cleaning facility.
Towels
Hand towels and body towels should be washed at the end of every week. Towels should be washed separately from other laundry items because of the rougher material. Towels transfer fibres to other items as well. Washcloths should be washed in the same load as well.
